Want to know more about treating anterior bridge deficiency cases with the ‘In Between Implant Placement Concept’? An article on this topic by Drs Christian Coachman and Eduardo Mann was featured in the Fall edition of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s prestigious Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry (Volume 34 Issue 3).

The article, entitled: ‘In Between Implant Placement Concept’ is a three part series featured across multiple editions of the journal.

“I think it’s important to celebrate your achievements in life, and for me, it is always a real honour and achievement to be published in this journal,“ Christian coachman comments.

"I wrote this first part of the three part article with Eduardo Mann and in collaboration with Eric Van Doren and Maurice Salama. It was a pleasure to work with a great team to share these stories and concepts with you”, he adds.

In Between Implant Placement Technique

The three-part article focuses on an In Between Implant Placement Concept; a strategy to treat anterior bridge deficiency cases. The first article looks at treating two missing adjacent teeth in the esthetic zone. It covers the pink hybrid restoration and unilateral versus bilateral defect concepts.

Christian explains,

Unilateral versus bilateral defect concepts is an important factor to consider when you are outlining your risk assessment and your decision making process on challenging cases with pink defect. In this article we outline the concept and introduce the topic, then parts two and three will be more specific on the planning and execution of the In-Between Implant Technique,

“In essence, this article explores how DSD and dental implants can complement each other, which I believe is an area of massive potential.”

Case examples

Cristian continues,

“One of the things I love about the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry is the inclusion of case photos to demonstrate procedures to dentists. I have included examples of cases with a number of well known dentists on this topic. The cases illustrate the concept of unilateral versus bilateral defects and how to understand the risks when you are planning these cases.”
